Zhenya is a character from Codename: Anastasia, which is a web novel by Boy Season as well as a manhwa by Eunbi and HAN (II). Evidently an undercover agent, Zhenya becomes romantically involved with Kwon Taekjoo.
Background[]
Having taken to monitoring Taekjoo, he did not formally introduce himself since HQ told him to wait. Knowledgeable about people Taekjoo asks about, Zhenya is also comfortable mingling amongst Russia's elite.
Ajinoki Island is Zhenya’s private island, upon which lies a mansion, forests, and bodies of water. The mansion was left empty unless him or Taekjoo is there, that is, until it got destroyed.
Characteristics[]
For his methods of dispatching foes, Zhenya rationalizes that every person out there wants to be special. Even when it comes to death, Zhenya is of the view the person would be disappointed if all they got was a short article in the papers about a simple gunshot victim. Zhenya feels at least if he gouged a man's eyes out the papers might write one more line about him.
A cold, calculating killer. Being part of the FSB’s Alpha 3 Unit Command Headquarters, he is sometimes he is assigned targets to kill. Zhenya displays a capacity for cruelty as well. Its is recalled by his brother that the first time Zhenya laughed was when he plucked the feathers off of his younger sister’s pet white peacock until it was unmoving.
Speaking for Taekjoo not to worry, Zhenya states he won't hurt him unless he hurts him before claiming he only attacks in self-defense. Confirming that he knows who Psikh Bogdanov is, Zhenya advises Taekjoo not to mess with him as people who do tend to meet a rather unfortunate fate.
Noted as relaxed and carefree, when asked why it's impossible to see him, Zhenya checks if Taekjoo wants to keep by his side and admire him all day. When Taekjoo cautions him that they are being watched, Zhenya excitedly wonders what should they do with them.
In time, his character becomes more tolerable. He listens to and follows much of Taekjoo’s needs and requests. His childish and demanding side comes out with Taekjoo.
Aspirations[]
When Taekjoo has been kidnapped, Zhenya is armed with a machine gun from a helicopter but fires into to water even with Taekjoo there. Pulling Taekjoo from the water, Zhenya is aware he is wearing a prosthetic mask.
Familiar with a kidnap attempt Taekjoo is involved with, he also seems to have a hand in arranging room service for him before an explosion at the hotel occurs. Handing Taekjoo his bank card, when he uses it the card has been reported stolen. While Zhenya is there to watch Taekjoo as the police take him, he does stop an officer from punching Taekjoo. Having a chat with the police, Zhenya mentions he paid them off for Taekjoo to be released.
Sharing an invitation with Taekjoo, it is to a banquet at the Kremlin to celebrate the contract with Russia and Japan.

Zhenya is the third son in the Bogdanov family. The Bogdanov family has ties to Russian royalty.
He is not very close to his own family. Not one of Zhenya’s blood relatives refer to him with his nickname “Zhenya”. He is viewed by his family as an uncontrollable third child whose whims cannot be controlled.
Taekjoo[]
He had never been in a proper relationship, preferring that of the no-strings-attached type, that is, until he became involved with Kwon Taekjoo. His attraction towards Taekjoo’s tan and supple body creates insatiable urges. His nickname for Taekjoo is “Rabbit”. He thought “새끼 (saekii)” was Taekjoo’s term of endearment for him (to mean something like “honey~”) when it actually means “bastard”. No one has corrected him on that.
