Yatara Yarashii Fukami-kun is an ongoing manga featuring the titular Fukami, a member of the IT department and his interactions with Kaji, a star member of the sales department. For the Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami story which it is also known by, there are currently three volumes. The manga is written and illustrated by Ayaka Matsumoto, then began its release in 2022. Chapters were serialized in BL Screamo and published by Screamo. The series has been licensed in English by Coolmic.
An ONA anime adaption was announced near the beginning of 2025. The voice cast and release date were revealed shortly after. The Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami anime will both be streamed on March 14, 2025 on OceanVeil and be broadcast on TV on April 7, 2025.

However, beneath the surface, he secretly looks down on others and judges them by a scoring system! If only he could find the perfect bottom who could live up to his standards.
One day, Kaji finds himself on an overnight business trip with his bland colleague, Fukami. Unimpressed by the plain-looking Fukami, Kaji vows that even if they were the last two people on a deserted island, he would never consider sleeping with him!
At least, that’s what he thought... until he glimpsed Fukami coming out of the shower and realized his irresistibly cute and erotic side!

Described as the ace of the sales department, Kaji is considered good-looking and is well respected in the company. Underneath that however, Kaji has little time for his colleagues and is a playboy narcissist. Upfront in helping others with their own work with a smile on his face, Kaji will be irked at how bothersome they are. Rather than relationships where many are available to him, Kaji is inly interested in brief flings with men who he then ignores and rates them with points out of a hundred. The lowest rated person Kaji has ever seen is Fukami.

Yuu Fukami[]
Thought of as an ordinary guy in the IT department, Fukami may seem unremarkable yet has a different side to him when his glasses are off and he is out of his oversized baggy clothes. Rather nonchalant in his casual interactions with Kaji otherwise, Fukami has one specification for him if they are to continue their relationship. Fukami says for Kaji to not fall in love with him.

Sana[]
Fukami's younger sister who he helps find a wedding ring for her since she intends to remarry. She relies on Fukami's help on occasion in helping to look after her son, Haruto. Very cheerful, Sana is prone to speaking at length on a variety of different topics without pause. Upon locating Kaji she assumes he is Fukami's boyfriend and has an all manner of questions such as whether Fukami is actually working, and then also speaks of their family background.
Haruto[]
A young boy who is Sana's son and Fukami's nephew. Knowing exactly what he wants, Haruto affirms when he does not want to sleep despite being ill with a fever. Informing Fukami that he has to go the the toilet, later fater being dropped off at school Haruto will announce they are here and he can be placed down now.
Story[]
Company members are gathered to praise Kaji for securing a contract that they have been negotiating. Thanking the Director for his praise, Kaji then sets about assisting his colleagues in their various work areas which earns him further admiration. When it is asked how can someone be so perfect, Kaji thinks to himself the answer. It is because it is an act that he puts on. For all the female attention he has, Kaji thinks how he is gay.
Outside by himself, Kaji rates guys on a dating app he is using and feels there must be someone worthy of catching the attention of his perfect self. Seeing no problem with himself crowned as a narcissist, Kaji decides to ignore a request from a guy who messages him, after deeming him 40 points.
Judging that it is a waste of time to try and form a deep relationship with someone, Kaji feels everyone is alone in the end anyways. Returning to the office with a smile, Kaji reasons he may as well enjoy the pleasurable parts of life as he sees fit. To do that, Kaji is willing to put on all the superficialities that he needs.
Informed of an upcoming business trip, Kaji is to deal with a client who has found a bug in their management system. Noting that this seems a job for the technical department, there is someone else coming too. It is Fukami, who appears in his baggy clothes.
After they resolve the client's issue, Kaji finds Fukami is not at all talkative. Regarding Fukami as poorly styled, with a dark personality, Kaji also sees his clothes are huge. Smirking as he gives Fukami 5 points in his mind, Kaji then adjusts this to 0 points. Smiling contently, Kaji considers even if they were alone on a deserted island there is no way he would be into Fukami.
Arriving at a hotel together, Kaji and Fukami learn there is only one room left.[1]
