Wei, Kanjian Erduo La! is a manhua written and illustrated by Telexihu. In 2018 it was adapted into an ONA anime with 12 episodes at 3 minutes each. In 2019 a second season with the same number of episodes was released.
Plot[]
Follows Dashu, a manga creator who grew up in an orphanage, and whose works do not sell very well. Dashu lives each lonely day in boredom, but one day he meets a young man named Myou who has cat ears, and his everyday life completely changes. Myou gets in trouble every day, but for the first time in his life, Dashu's heart experiences "warmth." The story follows their everyday comical life together while slowly unraveling the mystery of Myou.

Dashu[]
Thinking of himself as a manga artist without any relatives, up until recently Dashu has never been living with other people until he got this weirdo of a roommate in A Miao. Stopping him from walking as they prepare to go to the store together Dashu notes his ears are out. Happy to see there is a package for making an own hot pot Dashu raises how A Miao has been saying he wants to eat one all day. With A Miao's ears pressed down where it is uncomfortable Dashu says sorry and that they will look for a new hat tomorrow. Considering A Miao to be cute Dashu is then startled being aware that a photo has been taken and he wonders if they have been put on social media. With A Miao's ears springing loose Dashu conceals his head in his jacket. He is sure people in the world will find them questionable. After being called by Jin Zhu he continues to write a manuscript digitally using a tablet device and says that this months living expenses depend on its completion. Moved by seeing it Dashu did know know a tree this big existed at the top of an outside stairway when he has been living here for a long time. Contacting his granny for cooking assistance Dashu says he will tell her when he gets a partner. Never having a family Dashu says the granny at the orphanage raised him. Even though Dashu was assured he was not alone he still felt really lonely. That changed with Miao coming into his life where Dashu feels warm like he is standing in sunshine.
A Miao[]
Dozing, A Miao rests his head on Dashu's lap then scratches his hand when he is petted. With Dashu commenting that it seems his head is not soft, A Miao receives the comment on his alertness as referring to how his head feels. A Miao then changes his head to that of a cat then panda before assuming his original form of a boy with cat like ears who is 16[1]. He is pleased to be able to fold his cat ears away then as he resumes his joyful walk A Miao's tail is showing. With the plans to head outside interrupted, A Miao awaits on Dashu's desk before purposely tipping a glass of water on the floor with exceptionally pleased glints in his eyes. Helping at the farmer's market by way of bringing what he wants along without paying for it at the respective stands, A Miao announces that the market is fun. Observing the live fish A Miaoi states they are cute and is crestfallen that ones they will choose will have to die which he feels is cruel. Accordingly A Miao has Dashu choose the fish. His idea of a helpful shortcut is by climbing many stairs. Happy to help prepare the vegetables it takes Miao a split second to wash them where he is also soaked. He asked if it is really okay for him to not do anything, further if he can remain this useless in the human world. While Dashu was not showing it Miao could tell he was feeling fear and told him he was not going anywhere. Checking Dashu after he gets a hair cut Miao begins sobbing because Dashu's tail is gone.
Jinzhu[]
The editor in chief who calls Dashu to verbally thunder down the phone on whether the manuscript is done yet, and reminds him there are only a few hours left. Calling again, Jin is running at quite a pace while speaking on the phone since she intends to come over. Hearing that Dashu has not slept and that it is insomnia Jinzhu asks if he has gone to hospital. She states for him to next a couple of weeks off. Troubled after all by a single manga artist, Jinzhu visits Dashu since if something happens he will not have anyone to turn to. Thinking as an independent woman Jinzhu has always tried to avoid comparing other people's lives to her own to spare her feelings. Seeing Dashu and Miao together Jinzhu wonders if she is being made fun off since she has no lover.
Dong Xia[]
Addressed as Dong Dong he enters Dashu's residence having been looking all over for Miao, his younger brother. Explaining that they are a race called the ear people Xia states he and Miao are not blood related but were raised together as brothers. He had told Miao at one point that humans are good at hiding the scent of their emotions. Seeing that Miao has Dashu he guesses there was nothing to worry about. Due to work his and Miao's mom and dad were almost never home and Xia also never had time to play with his friends since he looked after Miao. While he loved the time when they were together Xia reflects how they just do not need to anymore. Embracing the bright side Xia thinks how now he can make friends and go to college along with going to basketball matches and falling in love.
Granny[]
Guiding Dashu on how to prepare fish she then questions whether he has found himself a girlfriend. Observing that Dashu has been cooking over the past two weeks, granny notes that usually he never does so. Saying that she is just worrying, granny hopes Dashu will find someone nice and it does not have to be a girlfriend, it can be a boyfriend too.
Yi Tai Wan[]
In ninja garb Wan seeks out Dashu and Miao when they arrive in Japan. Since Dashu is attending a meeting scheduled by Jinzhu, Wan will be looking after Miao. They visit sites together and send photos to Dashu. To Miao he explains that a lot of ninja have honed their technique in this location. Seeing that Miao misses Dashu he performs a ninja technique involving wind where Dashu is transported right in front of them.
Rang[]
An olympic gold medalist in ice skating, Rang is happy to see Miao in Japan. Recognizing Miao's scent Rang then speaks to Dashu about how he heard about him from Xia. On how he and Miao look the same Rang answers they are often mistaken for brothers. Rang adds that Xia will not admit it but he is the much better brother. Commenting how Dashu is in love with Miao he continues that it is written all over him.
Story[]
A Miao's nibbling Dashu
Dashu has a new roommate, A Miao. Asking if he is coming to the store with him Dashu then rectifies the problematic issue of A Miao's ears and then tail showing. At a convenience store Dashu finds a hot pot packet that is unusual to find. In Dashu's attempt to conceal A Miao's ears he draws even more photographers in people who find them cute.[2]

At a hat store Dashu is delighted to choose a red knitted one for A Miao and presents it to him at home. Dashu receives a call from the editor in chief, Jinzhu, so amends plans to go outside to continue his manuscript. Seeing A Miao resting he recalls how they first met. Coming across him in the rain as a cat Dashu brought A Miao back to his apartment then found he could assume his human form and could speak.[3]
Keen they take a shortcut
Going to the farmer's market Dashu and A Miao browse the vegetables then the fish. Miao behaving as in a supermarket has taken goods with him without paying at the stalls. While Dashu intends to take a taxi home Miao knows of a shortcut that he found earlier. It involves climbing many steps yet Dashu is content to see the large tree that is present at the top and thanks A Miao for the sight.[4] Dashu prepares the fish he bought at the market while listening to instructions from someone he addresses as granny. Having been cooking over the past two weeks granny asks whether Dashu has a girlfriend. The clock shows a time of 4 when Miao awakens as Dashu continues speaking. After the call with granny has ended Miao checks what is being made and helps prepare. As Dashu tends to the cooking he hears Miao's concerns regarding himself not being helpful. Dashu speaks fondly how he feels warm with Miao with him.[5]
