Star x Fanboy is a completed webtoon written and illustrated by Kim Cheomji. It was originally a webtoon which was also published in a book format by Young Com. The series was then serialized digitally in Lezhin Comics.
Synopsis[]
What if you could talk to your favorite fictional character every day? And what if they make you feel like the most special person in the world? “Good morning,” “I was thinking about you,” “Sweet dreams,” “See you tomorrow”... Some fans dive into their TV/movie/book obsessions on social media by interacting with accounts that take on the persona of their favorite characters. But what if the person behind that fictional account is actually... the very star who played that role?

Saying to Dong-Ryu that it is like Kang has a mirror into his soul, Kim had been contacted on his @LOVE_PBW username after having Kang's image as his profile image since he really admires him. Seizing Dong-ryo and asking to be saved Kim is not sure how much more his heart can take. Thrilled when a C-bot acting as Kang accepted his request Kim stated it was his first time interacting with one and he will do his best before asking whether Kang wanted some candy. Telling Kang how he is going to see an actor, Star Park, that looks just like him at an autograph signing event, there Kim wonders whether Star will like him.
Star Park[]
Under the moniker Kang Chan and handle @STRONG_CHAN Star replies to that he could get used to his messages starting his mornings. Asking what C-bots are Star is not bothered that there are bots that will take on his persona as the hottest celebrity today as Star Park and feels it is a type of acting. From the "Sweet" TV series as the character "Kang" Star thinks how he had a hard time with that role and describes him as a pretty layered character for a rom-com series. Star done a lot of research to study the character and even asked other actors for advice. Not being too familiar with it Star presses accept to the request of a bot that will play the role of Kang. Looking at other C-bot accounts Star is pretty sure he can do better.
Dong-ryu[]
Wondering what he did to deserve this, Dong-ryu never said Kim was kidding about Kang, he just wants to know why Kim is making him listen to it. Advising to keep it casual Dong-ryu takes Kim's phone and tells him to watch the master how it is done. A message asking if Kang slept well and adding that he is eating breakfast with his friends at school is encouraged as they keep conversations light. With Kim doubting whether it would work Dong-ryu assures him that Kang will reply "good morning," or a "did you sleep well, too."

Story[]
Kim has had contact from his C-bot concerning Kang Chan and eagerly shares the news with Dong-ryu. On a film set Star Park arrives and responds to Kim's message.[1] It is explained that character bots (C-bot) on Twitter are accounts set up to take on the role of a certain person or character and interacts with their followers. Star himself takes up the role of a C-bot representing Kang, a character he played on TV, and connects with Kim.[2] Learning about how to message on Twitter Star then replies to Kim after shooting a scene.[3]
