Slow Damage is a BL game released by Nitro+Chiral, producer of DRAMAtical Murder, Togainu no Chi, and Sweet Pool. It was initially released in Japanese on February 25th, 2021 and was released in English by publisher JAST BLUE on November 14th, 2022.
Synopsis[]
Year 20XX, Japan.
Shinkomi-a special ward developed as the country's largest casino resort in order to bring them out of a debilitating recession.
The land, formerly part of a landfill in the Tokyo Waterfront City Center of Odaiba, now essentially existed as its own country governed by the Takasato Group, a private investor of casinos, and continued to thrive despite the recession.
Uncertain of what tomorrow may bring, people flocked to Shinkomi with the hopes of striking it rich, or at least getting a second of reprieve from their miserable lives.
Taking in the masses, the city's public order was in a state of unrest, corruption coursing through every vein of the city, crime a common occurrence.
Our protagonist Towa, a resident of this town, lived rent-free in the hospital of his doctor acquaintance, Taku, leading a self-indulgent and transient life, not thinking about tomorrow.
Towa had a hobby.
He drew people's desires.
Creating motifs inscribed with oil, desires from the depths of people's hearts the moment before they burst.
Allowing the desire to crush into him, the experience of this flowing freely from the brush.
His artist's name is "euphoria".
Whether the two involved were damaged and injured to the brink of death as a result of fulfilling these desires didn't matter.
Because to the recipient...this was "happiness"...

Towa is the protagonist of Slow Damage. He's apathetic about his life to the point of not eating, preferring cigarettes and alcohol above food. He is extremely masochistic, shown through his many self-inflicted scars. He paints under the name "euphoria", using his skill in manipulation to coax people into showing him their darkest desires, and fulfilling their wishes.

Working at both a bar called "The Roost" and at the Murase clinic, Rei is the "mom friend" of the 3 main characters. Along with Taku, he makes sure Towa eats at least once in a while. He's also a skilled fighter, and frequents a part of town known as the "Deathmatch area" with his coworkers from The Roost.

Murase Takuma (村瀬 巧真)[]

Taku is the head of the Murase clinic, allowing Towa to live on the third floor of it. He's a caring and understanding man, though always making sure that whatever trouble Towa gets himself into doesn't kill him. He's worked as Towa's primary care practitioner since he was a kid, and still acts as such.

Presumed dead by his old gang "the Takasato group", Madarame came back to Shinkoumi as the so-called ghost of the deathmatch area. He used to buddy up with Towa back in his gang days, indulging in his equally self-destructive habits.

A cold and uncaring man, he runs his own law firm and is currently employed by the Takasato group. He's a little too rigid though, almost like he's wearing a suit of armour. Even since he came to Shinkoumi, he's been investigating Towa and his past.
