Red Candy is a completed manhwa at one-hundred and one chapters being written and illustrated by Hanse. First released in 2018, it has been published by Bomtoon.
A Korean Drama CD covering volume one was released in 2023.
Synopsis[]
Shihyeon, aka “Red Candy,” is a secret agent whose code name comes from bathing in the blood of his marks on dangerous missions. Shihyeon's tasked with seducing and obtaining intel from Hajun, a hot college professor. Shihyeon can disarm enemies but didn’t expect to be disarmed himself by Hajun’s own tight body. Now Shihyeon’s caught between loyalty to his spy agency and Hajun. Can Red Candy survive the incoming wave of enemies and still indulge in the sweet ecstasy of Hajun’s embrace?

Kang Shihyeon[]
Stopping a fight Shihyeon says that unapproved sparring matches between agents are forbidden. Placing agent Alex into an arm lock Shihyeon adds that the use of sparring as an excuse to bully his inferiors and ends his sentence with the act of shoving him away. Shihyeon is known as one of the three SS-ranked agents at Vulture. Questioning if the data he received from the director is so important that he has to go there himself, hearing whether that is why he was ordered here Shihyeon thinks the director is saying he asks too many questions. As Agent "Red Candy" he accepts the instructions. With the assignment involving Park Hajun he wonders who the hell becomes a professor at his age. Sweating with nerves at seeing Park in the house Shihyeon wonders why he is here and why the bug he left on his front door did not warn him. His eyes swirl as Shihyeon considers what to do but remembering the details he proceeds to kiss Park in operation B: Honey Trap. Having stuck a bug and tracker on Park he means to silently follow him and not allow his face to be seen. Disarming someone following Park with a knife, Shihyeon manages to then notice and avoid a man wielding a taser gun. Considering it dangerous Sihyun then kicks at the man's leg to trip him. Sleeping with someone for a mission is not a rare occurrence but with Park it is Shihyeon's first time doing it with a man.
Park Hajun[]
Sat at a bar considering a diamond ring at 28, Park is a humanities professor at a university on the left riverbank. According to Shihyeon's intel Park does not often go out. With an intruder in his room Park retrieves a baseball bat kept beside his bed. Out with Shihyeon he grips the arm of another man speaking to him then asks if Shihyeon is all right. Leaving the bar himself after finding that Shihyeon has disappeared, upon seeing him again Park thought he definitely looked like some straight guy sightseeing. Park thought of helping him out if Shihyeon was having a hard time but now feels it seems he should not have bothered. Waking up with Shihyeon he asks who he is where depending on his answer he may call the police. If what Shihyeon said about them sleeping together is the truth Park says he will accept responsibility. Stating that he is not really the type to have one-night stands Park continues that it was the first time he slept with a man. With no recollection of events, Park cooks breakfast for Shihyeon and asks for them to start dating.
Shadow[]
Codename of a member of the A-class intelligence team. While his name is not revealed, his boss used to refer to him as "Shannon". Shadow dresses like a college student and his hair is blonde with a shoulder-length hairstyle. His personality is quite sociable, cheerful and friendly. Shadow also has a yellow car of his own. Shadow usually spends the night, so he has to have snacks with him most of the time. There was one time[1] he cried because he didn't have a drink at night. Fond of Pepsi, he also said that even his mother drank Pepsi instead of water. He helps Candy (Shihyeon) in almost every mission. Once, Shadow accidentally ran into a man on the road towards Shihyeon's place. Shadow suggests to Candy (Shihyeon) that they should move to another location for the briefing. Recently, he and Shihyeon, Hajun and Adam were sheltering on an island. Seemingly wanted, (as seen when he and his boss were on the phone in episode 87) before concluding the conversation with the boss, he said that he would bring back something he was pleased with.
Adrian 'Uno'[]
He is a SS-class agent. Adrian has chestnut brown hair. His personality is quite unapproachable, it is best not to anger him. It seems like he always cares and keeps an eye on Shihyeon. Adrian starts a fight with another member of Vulture and tells him to keep going. Provoking that the man's superior are here to help him train, Adrian suggests why he doesn't at least crawl over. With his fist blocked and shoved by Shihyeon, Adrian's aggression ceased.
The Deputy Director[]
Director of Vulture, he has the list of papers set to be published by the Boston Association in July. The director instructs Shihyeon to bring all the data from the third researcher's study. All the information Shihyeon needs can be found enclosed. He states Shihyeon will be happy to arrive at his destination as well since it is his homeland.
Story[]
Shihyeon and Park see one another
In an 'uninhabited' island in the Bahamas archipelago at Vulture, a private intelligence firm, Shihyeon prevents agent Adam from assaulting another agent. After receiving orders from the Deputy Director, he travels via plane to his homeland. While Park Hajun is at a bar Shihyeon is in a house and thinks how the owner is a 28-year-old man, Park Hajun, and usually leaves his data in his study then also leaves his house empty on Friday nights. Park is home early and sees Shihyeon who reacts by kissing him.[2]
Hajun regards Shihyeon as a stranger in his bed
At a bar together Shihyeon disappears from Hajun's view. Noticing that someone else is following Park he stops the knife-holder. Shihyeon then deals with other armed thugs before taking an oblivious to the events Park into a broom cupboard. Kissing Park they then head home together.[3] When Hajun does not remember who Shihyeon is it is recalled how they began bed activities before Park abruptly fell asleep at the start. Park clarifies whether Shihyeon's name was Kang Shihyeon and means to take responsibility for his actions.[4]
