Su Jiawen[]
Running out as Luo happens to arrive, Jiawen asks that he save him. Behaving amendable, Jiawen awaits Luo to arrive home, having been taken to his residence. Asked to give him a massage, Jiawen requests Luo's phone to look up how to do it, before falling asleep in the middle of it. More comfortable reading books, Jiawen asks Luo for them where he is in most others cases hesitant to request anything such as milk to drink. Docile even with Luo around, Jiawen is largely content to go along with whatever he likes. Unfazed by being pushed out the bed, Jiawen spends the entire night on the floor, and waking up he is only concerned about Luo. Having an affinity with animals, Jiawen is unafraid of both Abel, a dog, and Lishi a horse, both of which are regarded as somewhat menacing. In both cases they are calm around him and heed his direction. While claiming to want to go sailing rather than be left behind, Jiawen states he is seasick. For all the opportunities to acquire information, Jiawen is seemingly content to spend his time reading, and looking after animals when Luo is not around. Said to pretend to be a fragile and innocent college student, Jiawen has pitiful eyes but in reality he is a mysterious and ruthless gangster. Where he has been presenting himself as Su Jiawen, his real name is Ruan Zheng, the unseen figure of Zhen Ting Investment, one of the top companies in the country.

Luo Yu[]
While it is said that Luo would pick anyone up, and throw them away after he is done with them, truly he tends to their well-being such as asking how they are, and if they need something then say it. This was not the case initially, intervening for his own benefit, Luo presents two options for Jiawen. The first choice is to come with him, the second one is to go with A-Liang. Telling Jiawen to follow him and only him, if Luo is not satisfied then he will send him back to A-Ling. Blunt in his speaking, Luo shares his thoughts on a matter. Spending time together having brought him back to his manor, Luo observes what Jiawen likes and help him acquire it, from books to milk in the morning. Requesting that Jiawen stay with him from now on, Luo questions if not that, then what other reward would he like. Fond of asking Jiawen to be with him, Luo speaks flippantly about becoming tired of him even around others, such as Shen who he is acquainted with. While horse-riding, Luo sees Jiawen approach calmly, yet moves his hand towards a gun at his belt in response to his initial gaze. With Shen interested in Jiawen, he affirms it is not his time yet, so he will remain with him.

Chasing Jiawen through the halls of the White Nest building, he states how he is already here so why is he still pretending to be some chaste martyr boy. Spotting Luo's gaze, A-Liang relinquishes his hold on Jiawen. Terribly sorry to Luo, he is under the impression that Jiawen is a student whose mother has acquired some debts from gambling, so he has come to the White Nest to pay them back. With Luo asking if Jiawen wants to come with him, A-Liang affirms they will do whatever master Luo says.
Luo's Driver[]
Informing Mr. Luo that tonight's dinner has been arranged, he questions where they should bring Jiawen. Affirming that he will bring Jiawen back to his home, he also mentions Al has been playing all night and he's asleep.
Abel[]
A black presa canario dog who barks while Luo and Jiawen are taking an stroll during the night. Happy to be bathed by Jiawen then taken for walks as well, Abel barks at other people who are spotted such as Lu.
Shen Qiyin[]
An investor of the White Nest arrives to visit Luo. Asking who Jiawen is upon first meeting him, to himself Shen considers that Luo did not tell him he had been raising a person recently. Wondering about Jiawen's identity despite having been told his name, Shen considers how interesting. Placing his arm around him, Shen enquires what kind of relationship does Jiawen and Luo have. Asked what they were chatting about, Shen replies they had not begun yet, before questioning Luo where did he find this little darling. Keen to head to the racetracks, once there, waving from his horse, Shen realizes he is being ignored by Luo and Jiawen as they speak. Noting that Luo has finally done his work, Shen questions if he wants to run a lap. When Luo gains a head start as his horse gallops forward, Shen protests that he is lacking in morals. Seeing that Jiawen has caught up, Shen suggests they race. Asked what they are betting, Shen dares not say it now, but suggests they first compete. When Jiawen proceeds to head off, Shen is aghast at another guy lacking in morals. Having bought a yacht, Shen had planned for his friends to go out to sea and fish. Addressing which partner Luo will bring, Shen is questioned if he would bring Jiawen if Luo doesn't. In response, Shen declares Luo really understands him. Told to not bring anyone who would scare him, Shen did not think Luo would also be protective towards beauties every once in a while. Inviting Zhou and Qi among others, Shen does not care for their words on Ruan's yacht, as he announces he is heading on his boat first. Telling Jiawen that Luo is in the middle of some serious work as he speaks with an aide, Shen addresses if something is worrying him. Then wondering why he is asking this, Shen considers Jiawen is just the companion Luo brought and it is not as if he will cross paths with him in the future. Aware that Jiawen has lasted the longest with Luo at a month, Shen says he can come find him afterwards.
Lishi[]
A brown colored horse, Lishi is described at the one with the fiercest temper. Where Jiawen is with him, Lishi is noted by Shen to be docile today. Through speed or not, Lishi helped Jiawen win a race to acquire a purple flag.
Li Cheng[]
According to Shen, he had said Jiawen would also be going out to sea when a yacht trip is discussed.
Zhou Zihao[]
Along with Qi Ye he joins Shen to travel on his boat on an outing of friends with their partners. Boarding at Luo's private dock, Zhou just wanted to say to Shen that style of his makes it seems like he is learning from Ruan Zheng. Aware that Ruan bought a beach club a while ago, and spray painted his name at the top of his boat, Zhou remarks that he sprayed it in white ink on top of the black background, so it is a bit more fashionable than Shen. On the water, alerting Luo that they have crossed path with Ruan's boat, Zhou reminds Shen the name is sprayed on top of the boat. When Shen mentions to Luo if they should drive over there and pull Jiawen off, Zhou directs them to think rationally, before cautioning that there may be spies waiting to ambush him. Playing cards, Zhou sees it is not good, and if this continues he won't play anymore. Addressing Luo, he mentions why does he not let lend him the one beside him in reference to Jiawen. Finding he has a straight flush, Shou proclaims that Jiawen really is a treasure and he will reward him as he passes some poker chips.
Qi Ye[]
Beside a woman, he has joined an entourage to go on Shen's boat. Commenting how Jiawen Zheng's yacht is eye-catching, Qi adds that no one has seen the man himself appear on his yacht before.
Xing[]
With a picture of Ruan said to have been found, Xing is waiting for Luo in his study. Greeting him, Xing details that three months ago, Ruan Zheng appeared in Laos. There was an informant from the Ping city police at that gathering place. Xing shows a picture showing two men, of which one is Ruan Zheng (neither of them are though, so Xing's information was wrong). Asked how was this confirmed to be Ruan Zheng, he answers one person in the photo is Zhen Ting's Jiang Qi, where the police's informant heard him call the other person by his name. Attending the banquet, Xing is tasked by Luo to make a record of all investments Zhen Ting has made this year. Speaking with Lu on how he saw Jiang walk in the direction of the balcony, Xing questions why Jiang was looking for Jiawen. Where Xing is concerned for Jiawen, he caresses his face and says to take care of himself instead.
Jiang Qi[]
Part of Zhen Ting, he was photographed in Laos with a man purported to be Ruan. Arriving at the charity banquet that Lin is hosting, Jiang remarks what a coincidence to be seated next to Luo. Chief Jiang is asked whether Ruan has come, and replies he has lately been busy with his love life. Smiling as he glances towards Luo having given this answer, upon hearing that he would like to meet him, Jiang affirms he will get the chance, there is plenty of time for that in the future. Finding he is not acknowledging him at the auction with Jiawen there, Jiang moves to bid against what Luo is after. Approaching Jiawen afterwards, he questions why he is with Luo. Having a case with him, Jiang gifts the vase he won to Jiawen.

Hai Sheng's chief Lin is said by Xing to be hosting a charity banquet tonight.
Lu Yi[]
Evidently having been told by Xing to have Jiawen prepare to go to a charity banquet at Luo's direction, Lu comes across Jiawen washing Abel. Contemplating how this Jiawen looks pretty pure, Lu wonders why he always senses something strange. Fine with waiting for Jiawen to finish washing Abel as requested, Lu travels with him by car to the banquet. Where they are late and Jiawen is instructed to come after the eating, Lu accompanies him in eating elsewhere. Keeping him company on the balcony, Lu is against Jiang approaching Jiawen. Speaking with Xing, he mentions how Jiang seemed to know Jiawen, yet Jiawen did not know Jiang. Asked how he knows, Lu mentions that Jiawen appeared very surprised, and it did not seem fake (yet Lu accepted the act - Jiawen was faking). Out of concern, Lu asks Xing if he thinks Luo will do something to Jiawen.

Story[]
Luo hears news of Ruan's activities
While Ruan Zheng is seen as innocent, in actually he is anything but. Similarly, Luo Yu has a reputation, that is at odds with how nice he behaves.[1] Prior events establish these temperaments. At a manor, Luo is informed by an aide that their cargo ship was empty. A photo shows people suspended from the ceiling and held by rope, with the words Ruan Zheng written on the walls. Speaking over the phone, Luo hears Al will be there soon. Ping city is the hub for linking the mainland to overseas land. Transportation to and from is convenient, and its economy is flourishing in no small part to Huan An Technology's, under Luo, then the Western clan ruled by He Yonggui, and also Zhen Ting Investment which Ruan Zheng is involved with. These three powers struggle for control, and mutually balance each other out. Out of the three, Ruan Zheng has the least known about him, where no one knows his origins or appearance. The first to break the balance, Ruan has targeted Luo time and time again, causing grievances to fester into animosity. Both sides want to grind the other's bones into dust.
Luo says for Jiawen to come with him
Having arrived at the White Nest, there are other masters about before Luo sees Su Jiawen (having not seen him before, Luo does not know this Su Jiawen is Ruan Zheng) being chased by A-Ling. Grabbed, Jiawen calls to Luo to please save him. Asking if he has dated, Luo questions if Jiawen wants to go with him, or A-Liang.[2] Heading to the presidential suite. A quarter of an hour later, Jiawen is finished in the shower and after being in bed with one another, Luo states he will inform someone to pick him up later.[3] Being driven back, Luo mentions for the driver to bring Jiawen home. Arriving at his mansion, where Jiawen is waiting, Luo orders him to get moving. When Luo essentially demands that he give him a massage, Jiawen falls asleep. Pushing him out of bed, when they wake up, Jiawen is on the floor as he remembers he fell asleep in the middle of giving a massage.[4] Departing, Luo directs staff to feed Jiawen. Receiving a call, Luo hears news concerning Zhen Ting that after three days, Ruan will be expanding to overseas markets. Where Jiawen is before the fridge wondering about which drink is nicest, Luo appears behind him. By morning, Luo and Jiawen enjoy some milk together. After Jiawen is done cleaning, Luo says he should come to bed.[5] Sleeping together, half a month later it is around ten past ten on a clock. Finding Jiawen reading, Luo invites him out for a walk. Heading past Abel, a dog who is barking, Luo notes Abel did not scare Jiawen. Asking if he can come back and see Abel again, Luo replies it depends on what he does tonight.[6]
Horse-riding together
Lying in bed together, Luo says for Jiawen to sleep here from now on, before the horses in the mountain area outside are mentioned. The next day, Shen Qiyin arrives who is interested in Ruan's relationship with Luo. Speaking together, Jiawen is shocked when Luo casually mentions that he will at some point become tired of him where he will leave. Asked if he is going to the racetracks, Shen answers affirmatively.[7] There, Shen is riding before Luo asks Jiawen which horse he would like. Where Jiawen is not tall enough to get on the horse, Lishi, fifteen minutes later, he, with Luo, and Shen ride a horse each. After Luo and Shen commence racing a lap, Jiawen whispers to Lishi before joining in.[8] With Shen suggesting a competition with Jiawen to race to the purple flag on top of the mountain, they are to compete first before what they are betting on is revealed. Having reached the destination and acquired the purple flag, Jiawen finds Luo there. From his gaze, Luo reaches for a gun he has, before Jiawen breaks into a smile about how he beat Shen here while merrily waving the flag.
Onboard Shen's boat
In his office, Luo and Shen discuss a plan to take a yacht out to sea for fishing tomorrow. Concerning what partner is going to be brought, Luo questions if he does not bring Jiawen, would Shen say he is going to bring him. Confirming as much, it is then mentioned how Li Cheng said that Ruan Zheng is also going out to sea, a prospect Luo looks forward to.[9] Inside the living room of his villa, Luo sees that Jiawen is reading the Animal Farm book. Mentioning that he will take him out to sea tomorrow for two days, Luo also shares that Shen will be going. At Luo's private dock, Zhou Zihao and Qi Ye are also joining them, along with their partners. They discuss what Ruan has bought, where unknown to them he is right there yet they know him as Jiawen. Sailing, Luo is informed by Zhou that they have crossed paths with Ruan's boat.[10] Discussing what they should do, thoughts of kidnapping Ruan are dismissed as there may be spies on the other side. Before anything can be done, Ruan's boat sails off. As Luo speaks with an aide, Jiawen questions Shen how long Luo has kept people. Hearing it is a month, Jiawen is then handed a card from Shen to call him in the event he is dropped. Finding Luo reading, Shen is sorry for what happened during the day. Having had a gift brought for him, Luo feels it really suits Jiawen .[11]
