MADK is a three volume manga written and illustrated by Ryo Suzuri with serialization by Canna. The first volume at 178 pages was released in English on February 9, 2021, with volume 2 released August 2021, and volume 3 scheduled to be released in English December 12, 2023. The series is exceptionally graphic where the comical moments do little to balance the acts that characters partake in, witness and experience. Makoto would change to steadily working towards destroying J.
Synopsis[]
Makoto is referred to as a "deviant" because of his abnormal inclinations and has always suffered alone. One day, he half-heartedly used a "book for summoning a demon" and did a summoning ceremony, successfully summoning the Archduke of the Demon World, J, who has a majestic and beautiful appearance and could speak well. In exchange for his life, Makoto made a deal with J in order to make his hidden desires granted. Then, he was suddenly reborn as a demon?!
Characters[]
M/Makoto[]
Using a spell circle and his own blood Makoto tries to summon a demon to no avail. Noting that nothing happened, Makoto was not expecting it to work. After being graphically intimate with J and that he enjoyed it Makoto cries and feels he cannot go back to his normal life. Makoto has only seen something like J's castle in television and books then thinks it was like one of those Western castles. With J voicing that a human would find that romantic Makoto feels he is being made fun of. Thinking that it is too late to regret this Makoto thought that once he got what he wished for his life would come to an end and had never anticipated being bestowed with a new life. He shivers with unease when J says if turns out useless at his job then Datenshou can tear his body apart and throw him into a warehouse. He was pained at saying a superior demon's name which can result in his soul being ripped to pieces. Thinking of J as his demon Makoto wonders why he thought that and how he has to find a way to not get agitated by him then thinks about surpassing J. He has not seen J in the three years. Then, seeing that a carriage is being sent to bring him back Makoto's nerves have worsened, and he asks Datenshou if anything happens can he come back to him. Makoto is stabbed by his father Kinoshita and hears from J that his father inflicted it all on himself and it is not his concern. With the different flow of time during the five years he was not in the human realm Makoto will not have any acquaintances left and he should be happy, Makoto cries. Working to collect gold dust Makoto feels he will lose his mind if he is not working and he asks Fjord what he thinks J did to him. Whilst he does feel affection from J every now and then Makoto considers he may be trapping him on purpose. He also considers being told to hate him all he likes was not affection. Speaking aloud to Datenshou about how he wants to ruin J and firmly set on that, Makoto needs to understand him better.

J/Jonathan[]
Appearing, J speaks that Makoto's ardor is praiseworthy and he is impressed that someone his age has full mastery of the art of summoning a demon. Asking to hear what Makoto wishes for, J says he can grant it, in exchange for his life. Taken aback at Makoto's wish J speaks how as a high school boy he should want things like throwing away his virginity or getting back at any bullies. Noticing Makoto's books concerning bizarre murders and cannibal stories J sees where he gets his ideas from. Stating that he will not tell Makoto's father, J encourages Makoto to throw them away. He indulges Makoto's desires and is able to tear his own skin apart around the neck. An archduke in the world of demons J takes Makoto where he will raise him as a demon to be adored by him. He will not give Makoto any demon traits, when he becomes a fine demon that should be his own discretion. Instead J hands something pure gold which is an item he received from his mentor. With Makoto nervous and shouting at him J commends him and states he has a good future ahead. When Makoto asks for a hug J obliges and thinks he is very cute. J mentions to Datenshou how he expected Makoto's spirit to break on the first day but he even had the guts to clearly tell him what was on his mind and J adds that he is amazing. Clarifying what Makoto said about not becoming a demon J changes from darkly rumbling to applauding Makoto's level of conviction. However J moves on to say he can pierce it and reminds Makoto whose possession he is in. He describes souls like precious jewels and if their quality drops they will be no better than common pebbles. J adds that Makoto's was quite the nugget and he debated with himself for quite a while as to whether he would turn it into gold or raise it. Remarking that humans cut down forests for scraps to make paper currency and whittle down mountains to dig out the treasure inside, if they disappeared completely humans would be troubled, but one at a time does not matter much and it is how demons see humans as. His definition of affection is skewed or has changed since J works to have Makoto become a demon on par with him which involves hating him.
Baron Zvar[]
Speaking calmly, Zvar says to Makoto that whilst he may have a human scent they are both demons. After picking him up he hears from Datenshou who Makoto is, then says things like that should be told from the start. Zvar considers if he had crossed that line he would be facing a very unthinkable experience.
Datenshou[]
Intervening when Zvar is handling Makoto he mentions that Makoto is J's paramour. Taking him outside Datenshou says even after all that washing there is still the smell of human on Makoto which demons notice. He is running a brothel for demons and having Makoto employed under him Datenshou requests an agreement from J that he will take full responsibility for whatever concerns Makoto. Assuring Makoto to not feel bad Datenshou tells him to calm himself and asks what J told him to study on. Datenshou proceeds to teach today's lesson that J is feared within the world of demons. He does not think it is possible to surpass J but Datenshou raises that Makoto would not want to be led and trampled upon. He has incense children, demons with flowers as heads as helpers. Datenshou manipulates aromas and feeds himself on the highly-strung nature of demons. He also uses aromas to pacify demons and uses skillful words to settle disputes. He is described by J as once the prince of a minor evil clan but is now prone to worrying, a splendid, meek, obedient demon.
Fjord Hermod[]
Arriving by carriage Fjord speaks with Datenshou and is thought to have an amazingly beautiful voice by Makoto. Described as the demon world's diva he has a large number of patrons who are marquises who he serves as a prostitute for. Seeing him Fjord asks if Makoto is okay. Fjord feels it was great that Makoto got to see the end of his father as he questions whether being the last one to leave an impression on him was a good thing. What he considers to be nice things are at fundamental odds with what a human would think.
Kieran[]
Kieran is a secondary character introduced in chapter 8 in the slums. He‘s J‘s elder brother, and is described by the latter as “an idiot who tries to strong-arm everything”. Living in the slums, K can shape-shift and tries to fool Makoto by transforming into J. Seeing it does not work since Makoto knows how J acts and talks, he first acts harsh and aggressive towards him, telling him that the one who wins in the slums is the first one to rip the other’s head. Then revealing his ‘real’ form, K questions Makoto why he wants to know more about J. Throughout the time K spends with him, he becomes ‘softer’ after Makoto finds out about what he’s ‘obsessed with’.

Kinoshita Yuuji[]
An elderly man at 72 he is ill and figuring out he was going to die anyway Kinoshita felt it would be better to sell his soul to a demon. Seeing Makoto appear before him Kinoshita is content to see his son again. There was something he always wanted to say to his son that died thirty years ago. Kinoshita details how Makoto's head was cut off with occult books and bodily fluids of two men around. At the time Kinoshita was livid and shouted that Makoto should have died somewhere else. Although they changed their names and addresses everything was still messed up. Kinoshita does not care if it is twisted, he just wants to kill his dead son having held on to a festering hatred and he stabs into Makoto.
Story[]
Lined up on a shelf are books on summoning demons, almost every one of them is fake. Makoto is successful in summoning J and promptly seals a document with his blood. It has been about a month and Makoto has been fulfilling his wish of eating J's intestines though he thought everything would be eaten in two or three days. Breaching the agreement is a crime so Makoto continues to take mouthfuls. After speaking, Makoto has eaten J's lower half and begins rubbing against him. With Makoto satisfied J thanks him for his patronage. Makoto sees he is still alive, J says his body has died but has taken a liking to him. From now on J says he will have responsibility over Makoto and he will raise him as a demon. The news that a high school boy had his head snatched spread widely as a rumor but this was no longer a concern to Makoto. J intends for M to become an archduke known within the world of demons.[1]
J has Makoto's new body ready for him and takes him to his castle. He intends to have Makoto as his helper. Makoto considers his new home along with the extravagant meal and warm bed he receives and wonders what is going to happen here on out.[2] Within his room Makoto sees that Baron Zvar and Datenshou are present as well. Three days earlier Makoto was studying at a desk when J said he would have a part time job with Datenshou. He explains that the higher-ranking demons are collectively skillful with words. In order to torment another's heart using their tongues they use language that would put them on a superior footing. The ones who have a good command of words dominate in this world. Datenshou shares that J is a man who devoured his own master using this skill. Makoto has been taking guests to rooms but now has his first job to tend to one. Entering, Makoto sees that it is J and he shares his nervousness at the situation.[3]
Reminding Makoto that he would give him a reward for doing a good job J agrees to the request of an embrace. J then tells Datenshou what Makoto's second request was namely to eat his tongue. As J praises Makoto to Datenshou he is told that people will not choose to become a demon. Of all the people J brought here thoughtlessly it all ended with them going insane. Makoto joins them to share there is an incredible carriage parked outside. Fjord Hermod has arrived and reveals that he was summoned by J to be intimate with Makoto. Told this is how to become a demon Makoto is furious at J and says he will not become one.[4] J holds Makoto's head as he watches his body with Fjord. On the balcony Fjord says how he came from this brothel but none of the things he does not want to remember matter anymore since he was retained by J. He adds that Makoto should expect there is not one good thing that is going to happen to him.
At dinner J asks how it went and how doing that with a human is impossible. Where he was crying before Fjord sees that Makoto has adapted fast to become "himself". Makoto asks J for the reward of becoming Fjord's friend. Makoto has only been here a couple of days and can say Fjord's name, yet since Fjord can also say his then Makoto has not surpassed him yet. As Makoto considers matters J kisses him and guarantees he will become a demon, the human world is too small for him.[5] Makoto and J experience on day while living.[6]
Volume 2[]
Having revised his request to return to the manor Makoto stayed at the brothel to learn more about demons and make J beg him to come back. Three years have passed since Makoto arrived and he has only been in contact with J via letters. One mentions how Makoto made the decision of his own will and has served out his apprenticeship well with Datenshou having informed him about his results. J arrives himself to retrieve Makoto and observes how Datenshou is able to call Makoto's name. J thinks Datenshou has not realized Makoto has reached his level and he is being deceived. J mentions that Makoto does not have to force himself to act like a demon then also adds that he himself is not going to suddenly grab and eat him.
Arriving home at J's manor he elaborates on the topic at hand. Retrieving a human's soul is the foundation of a demon's work. Hearing out their demands, and come what may, making them believe they are satisfied allow souls to be collected at the highest state of stimulation. J has a soul for Makoto to collect but no matter what he will not be satisfied so Makoto is just to exchange a word or two. When Makoto asks what happens to the souls he collects J replies if the quality is good it will become gold dust housing the bitterest of memories where it will evermore serve as currency in their world. Noticing his face J says if Makoto does not want to go he can refuse, it will be proof he has not separated himself from humans yet. Makoto means to collect a human soul and J sends him to gather Kinoshita Yuuji's. Appearing as a demon before him Makoto begins to talk before Kinoshita speaks how he was really allowed to see his son in the end.
Thirty years ago Kinoshita was informed by the police that the murder scene involving Makoto was some abnormal play between two homosexuals too deep in the occult. Makoto's father's soul has sickened with the feelings of contempt still remaining. After Kinoshita stabs Makoto he disintegrates. J is there to speak how even scum like that avoids being trash if they are fulfilled properly and he considers the gold dust left behind. Makoto addresses J as "demon". As J discusses Kinoshita falling into hell Makoto raises the thirty years passed. With the flow of time being different between worlds J mentions in another five years Makoto will not have even one acquaintance n the human world but with that he will be able to say goodbye and good riddance. Makoto is crying and not caring who it is he just does not want to be left alone right now. No matter how much Makoto may want to die there is only pain, that is what it means to be a demon. J says if Makoto needs relief then just to hate him all he likes and quickly climb up there with him.[7]
Considering the gold dust he has, Makoto is joined by Fjord where he discusses his father. Makoto asks if demons can be killed with violence. Fjord replies no but the best that can be done is for Makoto to get his hands on the information he needs to unsettle them and use that to climb to the top. Handing Fjord some gold Makoto sees it as a way for J's downfall and drops a greater amount before him.
