These digital comics were formatted to be read on smartphones given the greater number of them being used to access online materials. With chapters referred to as episodes, each one is on one long vertical strip, in contrast to manga pages which are read with pages right to left. Scrolling downwards on a device allows a story to be viewed, rather than loading through multiple pages. Music and animations are able to be played on some webtoons.
