Lee Yeo-woon is a character from The Guild Member Next Door, the novel series by '허니트랩', as well as the manhwa adaption by Honeytrap and Bijak. While successful in his office based career, Yeo-woon also has an interest in online games. After ji9byeol, who he has come across in real life as Yoon Ji-gu, was antisocial to him online, Yeo-woonwas invited into the Poseidon group by other members to make amends. As Yeo-woon enjoys playing the game, he is sure to not have ji9byeol's problematic behaviour go unaddressed, yet is also an attentive and helpful member of the team.
Background[]
An interest in games began at an early age when Yeo-woon was enthused by arcade games, and then also handheld ones as he grew. When 27, Yeo-woon was searching for a job and was tired of games that he didn't enjoy. Resolving to find a better game as a response, Yeo-woon's interest was caught by an Illusion Online MMORPG game and he reached level 50 that day. Joining a random guild, Yeo-woon found it became inactive so joined a Poseidon Guild. The party requirements were level 200 or above where he was only 120. Mistaken as an alt account of someone else, Yeo-woon's avatar was killed by the group.
When ji9byeol sought Lee out to have him say that he had indeed been stalking him (as ji9byeol had been lowered in rank by his own group once the error came to light) Yeo-woon ignored all his attempts at contact given he was being asked to be dishonest and cover up ji9byeol's behaviour. Claiming to have nothing to say, Yeo-woon thoroughly enjoyed the reverse changes in fortune given that ji9byeol could not acquire his previous rank until he had apologized, though was not doing so. After ji9byeol said he would stop following him, but in exchange Yeo-woon should tell the GM that that made up and add apologized, Yeo-woon asked why would he do that.
For his real world activities around that time, Yeo-woon was informed by a recruiting manager that he has qualified for the interview process. He would go on to acquire the job he applied to on a whim. With his work colleagues Seon Yong and Jeong Sehyung he occasionally reads the office group chat, yet at home Yeo-woon very much dedicates himself to games he enjoys.
Characteristics[]
In a supposed apology message, Yeo-woon notes the spacing of the words, and at the start of each line Yeo-woon can discern "I'm not sorry lol" is the true message in one claiming to say sorry and offer to make amends. While the group leader does wholeheartedly apologize since it was one of their members who were disrespectful to Yeo-woon, he passes along the hidden message and questions if it was not an incredible coincidence what the message happened to say.
While unsure if he could call the other guild members his in-game friends, where they always say hi it is why Yeo-woon has become more fond of this game. Even though ji9byeol said they were going to help, but didn't, Yeo-woon was happy to complete advancements all by himself. Assuring ji9byeol he did not need his help when it was withheld to begin with, Yeo-woon added it was fine if he left right now. As before Yeo-woon levelled of his own accord and was content to do so without being beholden to others.
In preventing ji9byeol from leaping in to engage an ant queen boss, Yeo-woon tells him he is in the way and that also caused group member Wolfist to waste a skill which Lee is attentive to. Guiding ji9byeol to fall back, Yeo-woon is prepared to support the team. Questioning who asked ji9byeol when he can hear him mumbling, after ji9byeol clarifies he was talking to himself, Yeo-woon responds for him to speak a litter quieter if he wants to do that since he can still hear him. In paying attention to others, Yeo-woon also takes into account how ji9byeol helped in battling on a map he didn't like to help him level which is something he expresses appreciation for.
Aspirations[]
Confronted with a proposal from ji9byeol's avatar, Yeo-woon rejects it in front of his other guild members. Learning that ji9byeol has brought many of these proposal rings, with each refusal Yeo-woon feels pressure due to what is a vast amount of money going to waste. That is why Yeo-woon accepts the in-game proposal to spare ji9byeol's cash reserves.
Gathering that ji9byeol does not want him getting close to the other guild members after he is invited to their group, Yeo-woon promptly sends them all friend requests, there is no way Yeo-woon is going to do what ji9byeol wants him to. He is also sure to decline ji9byeol's friend request. If ji9byeol is not happy about it, Yeo-woon says he can feel free to terminate their couple status. Where an ant nest area is the map ji9byeol dislikes the most, Yeo-woon promptly informs the group he would like to head there.
In acquiring an unfamiliar item, from a comment that it is not that good, just pretty, Yeo-woon gathers right away how rare and powerful it is. When ji9byeol offers him a billion for it, this time Yeo-woon raises how his whispers were so soft he could not hear him. When ji9byeol also offers even more, in the trade screen after ji9byeol has pre-emptively chosen accept, Yeo-woon removes the item and acquires the 1,200,000,000, an act that especially delights him given that ji9byeol has still not ceased his antisocial behaviour.
