It's Just a Dream... Right?! is a completed manhwa written and illustrated by White Eared. Released in 2021 it has been published by Polar Fox, Ridibooks, Bomtoon, and Lezhin. The English publisher is Tapas. Season 1 consists of 27 chapters. Season 2 began in November 2021 and consists of 23 chapters. Season 3 is currently ongoing and commenced in January of 2023.
Synopsis[]
Jungoh was just expecting to take on a part-time job as an assistant. What he didn't expect was working inside people's dreams with a cute, but grumpy shaman named Ibeom. And he certainly didn't expect Ibeom to be cursed by a nightmare seedling, with uncontrollable sexual arousal that can only be tamed by acting out his desires! Ibeom may not be too sure about Jungoh, but with his prickly personality, he has no one to turn to for help. But luckily for him, Jungoh is always in a giving mood...

Han Jungoh[]
24 years old (Revealed in season 1 finale author's note). It would be a lie if Jungoh said Ibeom did not make him feel some sort of way, he just did not expect things to turn out like this. Before, checking the job advertisement, Jungoh felt it paid well and the conditions fitted him perfectly, not to mention he feels drawn to this job for some reason. After checking inside a storage room that a cat disappeared around, Jungoh finds Ibeom and recalls the spiritual encounters mentioned form the job flyer. Hearing the job duties from and likening it to working as a manager for a celebrity, Jungoh thinks that with free time does not sound half bad. Thinking he can still hear them as Ibeom says to he does not like him, Jungoh also registers he was referred to as 'that' and considers him a jerk. Contemplating how Ibeom's Grandmother already said she liked him, and even though the job description seemed like it would be a lot of fun, Jungoh wonders should he just throw all that out the window. Yet still, Jungoh is drawn to this job so changes his facial expression to an enthusiastic one while saying it would be an honor. Talkative while in the car, Jungoh mentions how they are on their way to meet their first clients and what is he in charge of. Viewing the pamphlet, Jungoh says the illustration is so cute, yet the more he reads about the nightmares the less he understands. Finding it strange, Jungoh considers could this be one of those fake religions. After he falls asleep when Yibeom is helping Kim, Jungoh finds he has also entered Kim's dream alongside Ibeom. Finding that he is indeed not wearing pants, Jungoh earnestly asks when did Ibeom take them off. With Ibeom wondering how he got here when Jungoh did not even create a link he asks what he should do now. When they are found by someone, Jungoh still has no pants and also has an erection. Surprised and asking why he is hard, Jungoh is exhilarated at being led away by Ibeom, they are really going to just run away like this while he is only wearing underwear.

Shin Ibeom[]
22 years old (Revealed in season 1 finale author's note). Saying sorry and that he is not usually like this, Ibeom swears he is not the type that does these kind of things like sitting on top of Jungoh. Alone in a storage room tending to his shaman duties, Ibeom reacted to Jungoh entering by bringing his phone out and saying if Jungoh moved one inch closer he is calling the police. Speaking with him, Ibeom says what they need is someone who is careful and thinks methodically. He adds Mr. Jungoh is, how should he put it, did not even contact them before showing up, also that he came here based on that terrible flyer. Speaking privately to Ihyung, his brother, Ibeom says he does not like Jungoh and he would be better off with doing the job. Ibeom feels as expected from grandmother she has hired someone else where he assumes it is because of his weak disposition. Saying they would like to do a practical interview Ibeom feels it is great timing since he has a job booked two days from now. Asked what a malady is, Ibeom answers he is sure it is somewhere in the pamphlet. While he does come to explain it, Ibeom then reveals he has never experienced anything like a malady personally so cannot comment on that. Telling Jungoh he will do nothing today but observe, Ibeom adds to not get in the way. Hearing about Kim's dreams, Ibeom asks her to take a deep breath and try to focus on the space between his fingers. Saying he will count slowly Ibeom induces sleep in both of them. Having found his way into the dream, Ibeom walks within a city and guesses it is around the time everyone starts work, first he needs to find the client.

Asking Jungoh whether he came here for a job interview she knew from the moment she saw him, it was her who put up the flyer after all. Judging him handsome, tall, and full of energy Ibeom's grandmother said she liked him. Asking if he minded lowering his head for a second, she checks Jungoh's hair before thinking he would do great and be a good fit to take on this job. Leading him inside the compound she says Ibeom must still be inside meditating, he is her grandson. On one occasion she was overcome by an uncontrollable rage that she could not understand. According to her she could not control her spiritual energy and ended up obliterating the place she was living at.
Shin Ihyung[]
29 years old (Revealed in season 1 finale author's note). Coming across Jungoh who has found his younger brother Ibeom, he then explains the assistant is in charge of managing work schedules and gathering any materials necessary for the job. Aside from that, Jungoh would also be in charge of driving to the job sites. Basically, he will have to accompany them on the jobs and carry out any necessary duties. Ihyung adds Jungoh will not be too busy, after all, these jobs only come up once or twice a week. With Ibeom wanting him to do the job Ihyung answers they agreed hiring someone else would be better. He adds that Ibeom might realize Jungoh is a good person after working with him for a while. Checking his watch, he thinks it took fifteen minutes from Ibeom establishing the link to the time Jooyung fell asleep, right on the dot. From the moment that both the client and the retainer fall asleep it is the assistant's job to use a timer. Picking up on Ibeom's attitude Ihyung thinks it is fine that Jungoh fell asleep, they can use it as an excuse to fire him just like Ibeom wanted. Heading to pick up his brother Ihyung gets the correct impression at Jungoh answering the hotel room door while Ibeom is in bed. While he was angered Ihyung acts with Ibeom's desires and best interests at heart. Accordingly, although he can come across as surly in such incidents Ihyung still acts professionally in preparing the new contract for Jungoh and carrying out duties to help him and Ibeom.

Jooyung Kim[]
Miss Jooyung is a client's daughter; her mother had contacted Ibeom since she was experiencing nightmares. With a red ribbon like material around her right wrist, Kim describes the dreams as usually taking place at her work. The details are different in each dream, but she does keep having recurring dreams of being ripped into by her company superiors. While it is just a simple scolding, for some strange reason it just feels so scary, and they are aggravating. It is getting to the point where Kim cannot distinguish between her real thoughts from her dreams. Within her dream that Ibeom and Jungoh visit she acts as if she remembers the former from yesterday when he expresses familiarity with her. Tending to her work duties, sure enough, Kim is belittled by Byun.
Yongsoo Byun[]
Section chief Byun is mentioned by Kim in her dream where Ibeom has introduced himself as her advisor. Within her dream he is the target. Noticing Jungoh suggestively whispering to Ibeom and touching him, Byun takes the bait by following them into the photocopying room to chastise young people in the workplace, where the nightmare of him is incinerated.
Goongsun Nam[]
Today's client, Nam is 36 and anxiously paces within the hallway. Confirming his identity to Ibeom he asks if they could possibly move to somewhere else. It has been about a month since he started having recurring dreams involving wandering in a building that is engulfed in flames. There is always this lingering feeling of fear and sadness. If Nam were to guess it probably takes place at the high school, he went to.
Seulgi Hong[]
Goongsun's housemate, seeing that the group has arrived to help Goongsun he offers his own place for the procedure. Having gone to high school with him, Hong is in the dream with Nam as a high school student.

Along with Hong and Nam in the high school dream, Son's name is on the Autumn field day talent show sign-up list.
Story[]
Jungoh in a job interview for shaman Ibeom and his brother Ihyung
Shin Ibeom is on top of Han Jungoh. When Jungoh first arrived at the compound it was answering a job advertisement seeking someone who can assist a shaman. The criteria were a strong and healthy adult, someone who has been recognized for incredible strength, with strong patience who acts quickly and on their feet. Further, the someone must not have suffered many ailments or grown up in a household of conflict. Transportation fees would be provided as well as lodging when needed, spirituals encounters may occur. After Jungoh meets Ibeom's grandmother he awaits her grandson Ibeom to arrive. Jungoh notices there are a lot of cats in this neighbourhood. Following one who appeared to want him to follow he finds a storage room then notices the cat has disappeared. Ibeom is within who reacts to Jungoh by saying he will call the police. After Ihyung joins them, within another room they discuss the job role. Leaving the room with Ihyung and saying he does not like Jungoh, after a discussion Ibeom returns with something to say. Before they sign an official contract, they would like to do a practical interview. Jungoh accepts and will see him in two days.[1]

In the car, Jungoh speaks with Ibeom and Ihyung. A pamphlet describes common and vicious nightmares. When an injury is inflicted on the external layer of the soul, the nightmare seedling begins to grow and manifests vicious nightmares. Ibeom describes a malady as like a symptom that the afflicted person experiences, like being under a temporary curse. It happens when someone depletes all of their spiritual energy, or when they are directly attacked by a spirit, it is not a common occurrence. In cases where the retainer is affected, it is the assistant's job to care for them until they recover and resume working. Jungoh hears he will be observing Ibeom today. Reaching an apartment complex Ibeom hears details of Jooyung Kim's dreams. Meanwhile Ihyung explains to Jungoh that the act of tying their hands together using a red ribbon is called creating a link. It is a tool that allows dreams to be shared. After Ibeom has entered Jooyung's dream he pretends to have met her and been assigned as her advisor. They both then notice Jungoh is within the dream as well. After taking him to one side, Ibeom sees that Jungoh's pants have disappeared. Found by Yongsoo Byun, the source of Kim's troubles, Jungoh suddenly acquires an erection so to avoid drawing attention Ibeom takes him away.[2]
