Synopsis[]
As a reporter, Clark has interviewed many criminals but never a murderer. Enter Alex, the Triage Killer. A serial killer who kills in three, he agrees to an interview so long as Clark offers one thing in return: himself. Murder after murder, question after question, Clark will learn why Alex kills. And Alex… he will learn Clark isn’t as innocent as he seems.
Characters[]
Clark Kang[]
Considering the nature of the killings, upon remembering that he himself may have been using someone, Clark feels he is no different. As an interviewer looking for incidents to cover, Clark finds all of them trivial compared to the serial killer still at large. Meeting his previous partner again, Clark hears the patient he would like him to interview is the killer himself. Meeting him, Kang puts Alex's comments down to him being depressed yet finds him surprisingly normal at first glance.
Alex[]
Lying in the snow when Clark arrives, Alex thought he was the grim reaper. Having dozed off after picturing himself in a dangerous situation as experienced by a character in a novel he is working on, Alex thanks Kang for waking him. Placing Kang's hand on himself, Alex describes them as very warm.
Park[]
An officer who takes someone appearing drunk away from Clark.
Jung[]
Detective Jung is asked for updates on the serial killer case, but has been taken off the team.
Suh[]
A detective who is wary of joining a conversation Clark is having since Jung got angry at him last time.
Baek[]
Clark's boss who would like to follow up the exclusive interview he had concerning the congressmen and a possible bribery. Hearing that Clark has closed it, Baek questions how much hush money he is getting as the true reason for abandoning the story.
Story[]
When he was a child, Clark was put in time-out again which others assume was because he annoyed the teacher during class as usual. Other students headed to feed a kitten, which Clark saw was in an infirm state.
By the present day, that the police have failed to capture the perpetrator of the triage serial killings throughout the city state is reported on the news. As Clark thinks it is all they ever talk about, it is considered the city is in a state of shock due to the actions of one criminal.
Finding someone drunk outside the police station, Clark is met by Detective Jung who has Park take him away. When Clark asks if there are any updates on that serial killer case, Jung answers he was taken off the investigation team. As Jung and Suh interact, Clark questions if he can cover the story. Finding a message to call, Clark heads outside.
Baek is asked if he pulled another all nighter, before he speaks to Clark over the phone to hear he has stopped covering a story on congressmen and possible bribes as there was not enough information. Messaged by who he has not from in a while, Clark feels there is no harm in contacting him now that he is single.
Eating with colleagues, as they discuss the advice to stay home, Clark hears who he is messaging about talking face-to-face. Clark agrees to do so.[1]
