I.M. is a completed manhwa written and illustrated by Team Hagiming. First released in 2018, it has been serialized in Bomtoon and Lezhin. The publishers are Bomtoon, Kidari Studio, and Lezhin.
Synopsis[]
The strange cohabitation between Ai, an android, and Siyoon, a normal NEET, begins. Although Ai is always going around causing a commotion, Siyoon slowly starts to warm up to him as Ai starts to become more and more human-like.

Han Siyoon[]
When 27 and jobless. Siyeon contemplates how if he does not get a part-time job this month he cannot afford to pay bills again. Seeing a robot, Siyoon finds it is not even that surprising anymore. As his stomach growls, Siyoon considers he will have to start cutting back on his food expenses. Happy to order, Siyoon is glad he did not throw away the flyer. Not recognizing the number, Siyoon asks Jaehee how he is doing at seeing him nearby. Thrilled to hear of the monthly payment for the robot project, Siyoon eagerly announces he will do it. Suddenly nervous, Siyoon wonders if Ai happens to break does he have to pay for it. Relieved he would not, in that case, Siyoon offers his hand to Ai and states it is nice to meet him. Finding it awkward walking beside him, Siyoon processes whether Ai is really a robot. Wanting to test it out, Siyoon requests that Ai get a drink from the vending machine. Scared to go inside, Siyoon wonders what kind of mess will be waiting for him this time. Mumbling what he has to be scared of anyway since it is his own house, Siyoon is surprised to see Ai there.
Ai[]
Upon their first meeting, Ai opened his eyes and focused on Siyoon. Said to be not the same as humans despite his realistic appearance, unlike androids that are already fully programmed from the start, his code will be completed through learning and evolution. For that, at Jaehee's direction, Ai is sent from the S University Android Research Centre to go and live with Siyoon for around a year. Once he starts living with someone it is said he will adapt to things and become closer to a human being. Ready to go with him, Ai answers he can do a favor for Siyoon. Complying with how he sees the request, Ai smashes his way into a vending machine, and hands Siyoon a leaking coke. Waiting in front of the door for Siyoon to enter, Ai pulls him into an embrace and says he missed him.

Having his phone bounded to a pillow, he announces cut after Ai has hugged Siyoon. Certain that was great, just like s soap opera, he says for them to move onto the next scene. This involves Siyoon having been betrayed by Ai so comes back for revenge.
Robot[]
After Siyoon bumps into her she details on behalf of a burger restaurant how they have an opening event going on right now. She says to please come and check out their 50% off event.
Seo Jaehee[]
27, he is a robot researcher and calls Siyoon when he appears behind him. Mentioned as having been hired by their university's robot research facility as soon as he graduated, Jaehee assures Siyoon there is no need to rush when he is concerned of his own lack of direction. Commenting that he probably just has not found what he really wants to do yet, after hearing that Siyoon is almost out of money for this month, Jaehee mentions it is what friends are for as he offers to help him out. There is this experiment that they are about to begin regarding the new android model. They are looking for someone to take in the robot for about a year and observe how well it gets along with people. As Siyoon comments on how this is where he works, Jaehee humbly responds it is not as fancy as it seems. For the project, Jaehee explains that the robot cannot be found out that it is one. Breaking into laughter at Siyoon's question on whether he has to pay for Ai should he be broken, Jaehee answers as long as it was not on purpose then they will cover the costs.
Story[]
Siyoon hugged by Ai
Han Siyoon stands outside his door and is nervous about going inside. Entering, Ai is awaiting his arrival. After they hug, someone recording on a phone is pleased to have filmed the soap opera like scene. Two weeks ago, Siyoon checks his phone where it was 11:27. Considering that they would get back to him by 11, Siyoon wonders if they rejected him after all. Concerned on how the bills are to be paid, Siyoon finds his phone has sent another one.
Recalling catching up with Jaehee who was working on a robotics project
While walking, Siyoon bumps into a robot handing out a 50% off offer for a newly opened restaurant. These days, it is common to see them thanks to the active development of the robot industry. Android robots in particular are sometimes utilized in place of real workers. Although they are not cheap, robots can be recognized by their speech and actions.
Pleased to make his acquaintance
After ordering from the burger restaurant, Siyoon is called by Seo Jaehee. As they speak, Siyoon mentions he is almost out of money so Jaehee questions if he would be interested in living with a robot for a year for a project. Accepting, at the S University Android Research Centre they speak on the experiment to find out how well their new android robot integrates into human society. The doors open and Siyoon is introduced to Ai, a realistic appearing robot whose code will develop when living with humans.
Acquiring a drink
Dropped off, Siyoon walks the remaining distance with Ai. To test whether he really is a robot, Siyoon asks that he acquire a drink from a nearby vending machine. After Ai smashes his way in, Siyoon is horrified and wonders whether it was a good idea to accept this job.[1]
