Story[]

Asking that he bond with him, Nagi states he will take good care of Kazusa. Some hours earlier, Kazusa found a black shadowy mass before him. Thinking he would not need a talisman for this measly thing, Kazusa speaks for it to return from whence it came. Thanked by the man and woman whose residence he exorcized, Kazusa says it is all part of the job. Receiving compensation, Kazusa heads on his way since he is expecting the bus soon. Politely declining an offer to be driven down to the stop, Kazusa says he can take in the view of the beautiful mountains on the walk there.

As he departs, the couple think how that monk is so young but has a good head on his shoulders. They discuss how him being an exorcist would be the right term. Thinking how that was an easy job, Kazusa considers how the spirit was a small fry and the client was fairly well-to do. Although their house was pretty deep in the mountains, Kazusa can understand wanting to live out here.

Sensing something, Kazusa is pulled through a portal appearing in a tree by Nagi. Waking up in a house, Kazusa finds his wrists bound by a shining cord. Speaking how it is impressive, Nagi thought Kazusa would take an entire day to wake up. Gathering that Nagi is not a spirit, Kazusa finds it is the first time he is seeing a crow tengu up close and personal.

At once pulling his shirt open, Nagi directs Kazusa to bond with him. Understanding what it means, Kazusa asks why him though. Able to become more powerful by feasting on humans, Nagi feels if he consumes a being as strong as Kazusa his strength will become ever greater. The power ending if he ate him, Nagi explains an inugami or and oni would not hesitate to do so.

Repeating his desire to bond with him, Kazusa then asks how he knows his name. Having been watching him go about his duties, Nagi begins licking Kazusa's body. As he thinks to get his hands free, Kazusa finds Nagi called by someone who then leaves. Able to access his talismans, Kazusa uses them to break the wrist restraints.

Searching for the exit, Kazusa comes across Nagi interacting with two other tengu. Addressing how Nagi has been impudent, he is ordered to appear before an assembly. Commanding him to hold his tongue when Nagi is not keen to appear there, one tengu knocks what is a head crest off to reveal his long white hair.

After a tengu insults him as a pariah and states he is not one of them, Nagi motions to attack before being stopped by Mao. As they fly off, Mao advises Nagi to just keep a low profile. Aware Kazusa is nearby, Nagi questions how did he free himself. When Kazusa is interested in the fact that Nagi is a white-feathered crow tengu, he wonders if there are others.

Not answering the question, Nagi feels nothing has changed about Kazusa's situation and now he is going to be taken by him. Having other plans, Kazusa uses to a talisman to repel Nagi, right into the wall. As Nagi favorably regards his power, Kazusa speaks he has never considered being powerful a good thing.

When Nagi raises whether he means to kill him, Kazusa feels most likely he could exorcise him, but he won't. If Nagi has learned his lesson, Kazusa means to leave where he will not be back to these mountains. Bidding him so long, Kazusa leaps away. Finding it thrilling, Nagi announces he is going to devour him.[1]
