Lin Yutong[]
Insisting that he likes girls and girls only, he never realized that his own best friend, who he has treated like a brother for 3 years, had feelings for him. Yutong and Weiyun had always been intimate with each other so Yutong didn't really notice the difference between Weiyun's behavior around other people and himself. During his graduation celebration, Yutong goes outside for fresh air and his friend, Zichen follows him, then asking if he was dating Weiyun. Like second nature, Yutong contradicts the fact that Weiyun treats him so intimately, telling Zichen that he has always been like that.
Tan Weiyun[]
Yutong considers Weiyun as his best friend and for over 3 years, the only sense of affection Yutong has ever felt from Weiyun is friendship. Weiyun is an introverted person who is very immersed into his studies. A quiet and gentle young man who prioritizes doing his work properly and correctly, knowing it would make his mother happy, for it is the only thing she have ever wished for, until meeting the extroverted troublemaker: Lin Yutong. Over the 3 years that has passed, Weiyun have developed very intimate feelings for Yutong, wanting to finally confess to him. On the night of their graduation celebration, they go out drinking with their friend group and Weiyun still clings onto Yutong, taking care of him by feeding him and wiping his mouth as a sense of habit from home. Yutong goes out for some air and Zichen, one of their friends, leaves to find Yutong to ask him what his relationship is with Weiyun. Yutong was asked about why Weiyun and he has settled into a very intimate kind of "friendship", thinking that the two might be dating. Yutong disagrees with Zichen, saying that Weiyun has always been like that. Zichen then leaves and Weiyun appears from the corner after hearing everything they talked about. Weiyun tells Yutong that he is incorrect and that he likes him very much. Yutong, out of shock and non-sober instincts, ran away without thinking, crying and yelling out comments such as "I've treated you like a brother but you've been actually hitting on me this entire time?!" Without hesitation, Weiyun runs after his beloved until they both reach the city streets, where he follows Yutong across the pedestrian lane. Yutong suddenly stops running and looks back behind him after hearing the screech of car tires, finding Weiyun's body on the ground, ran over by the passing vehicle. Weiyun hears Yutong crying above him, hearing faint words of wishing he could turn back time and promises of never running away from him again. Weiyun slightly opens his eyes, witnessing the despair of his beloved and smiles because somehow, he's seen Yutong cry so many times now but he still has no clear hint why. Then, out of nowhere, 2021 suddenly became 2018 all over again, and Weiyun has never even met or known the name of his best friend who he has secretly been in love with for 3 years.
Wang Zichen[]
Yutong's oldest friend since childhood. He was with their friend group at night, drinking, along with Yutong and Weiyun, celebrating their graduation. Zichen watched curiously how Weiyun acts very intimate with Yutong, constantly feeding him food using his own chopsticks, and also wiping his mouth for him. When Yutong went outside to refresh himself, he went after him and asked if the two were dating. When Yutong traveled back to the past, from 2021 to 2018, he wakes up from the "nightmare" of Weiyun's accident and finds Zichen sitting by his desk playing on the computer in his bedroom. Zichen was startled by Yutong yelling out Weiyun's name, he who they haven't yet encountered during that time of 2018 as new 1st years in high school.
Lin Yuling[]
Yutong's little sister, who is shown as someone who seems quiet but is actually quite the fan of BL. She loves anything BL-related, identifies herself as a fujoshi, and even chose to help her older brother's friend, Zichen, to find out if Yutong has a crush on Tan Weiyun. Yuling asks Zichen for photos of Weiyun to see how he looks like, but when Zichen fails to take a picture of Weiyun's fully exposed face, Yuling decides to visit her brother's school and waited for them outside the gate. There she finally saw Tan Weiyun and also witnessed how casually her brother, Yutong, just fixed Weiyun's shirt collar and gushed at him, calling him "Effortlessly handsome". Yuling wasn't able to handle what she just witnessed, covered her mouth, and blushed like the fangirl that she is.
