Dear Door is a webtoon manhwa written and illustrated by Pluto. Police officer Gyeong comes into contact with a demon calling himself Cain who sees him as his "Door."
Synopsis
While in pursuit of criminals, a police officer has an unexpected encounter with a rather uncanny demon. Barely surviving the incident, Do Gyeong Joon is left staring after the retreating form of the mysterious creature in bafflement. However, not long after this, the two meet again when the demon crashes into Do Gyeong Joon’s apartment, saying: “Hurry up! Do Gyeong Joon
A police officer who when pursuing a suspect, recognizes a tattoo symbol that brings him into contact with a winged demon. Thinking fast in dangerous scenarios, Gyeong acts practically when intense situations. He is an accomplished shooter when firing at tendrils and uses his environment to his advantage in a fight. Gyeong is supportive of those he cares about whether human or demon and will go to great lengths to ensure that they are okay if they appear troubled. As well as working hard to solve a case involving a religious cult, he finds himself drawn into Cain's world.
Cain
Having a winged demon form, his real name induces strange effects in humans so he has Gyeong call him "Mr. Cain". Followed by Gyeong, he has his tattoo revealed yet after an explosion he refuses orders to kill the police officer. In his demon form, he flies through the window seeking to drain powers to heal a serious injury he has sustained. He seeks to instigate strong feelings in Gyeong, seeing him as a "Door" in which he can regain his powers. Protective of him out of requiring him changes to something more as Cain finds himself increasingly attached to the human. Cain does express jealousy as well as an initiative to help Gyeong with the case at hand, but only for something in return. Even with his power diminished he is a very skilled fighter and relies on others since he is sociable and works well with characters he knows.

Cha Jin Yeong
A police officer who has known Gyeong for some time. He is observed to be worried about every little thing, something he laughs off. Showing concern for Gyeong Joon, he suggests they eat together and says to call anytime he needs his best friend. Although supportive, he is not as open to revealing his own troubles as he is as drawing out the concerns that others may have.
Sid
A demon who serves Cain though does not share as many personality traits. Stating that he hates noisy things, Sid is described as arrogant and threatening others as if on a daily occurrence. He was given a new life thanks to the demon's magic, so pledged his allegiance to Cain. Able to alter memories, he removes them from people who witnessed a demon crow attack. Although coming across as menacing, it is often talking and he does not abuse his level of power he possesses over others.
Captain Kim
She brings in many people who have been arrested for picking fights with the police.
Jeong Soo
Park So Yeong
Park So Yeong was Gyeong's fiancée who died from an illness speculated to be cancer a few weeks before their marriage ceremony.
Story Introduction
Officer Do Gyeong Joon pursues a criminal with a tattoo he is familiar with before falling unconscious. Waking up he finds himself in a ritual with a demon. Later, working at a police station Gyeong learns more of the expansion of those possessing the tattoo from his friend Jin Yeong. Arriving home, the demon from before comes crashing his window requiring power to replenish his magic, draining enough to heal a stab wound through his heart. Another demon, Sid arrives and tells Gyeong he is going to die anyway. Awakening, the winged demon takes a human form and is arrested by Gyeong Joon. At the station, demonic crow-like beings attack, and both demons fend them off. Needing him for some purpose, the demon allows Gyeong to call him Cain and decides to head home with him.
