Caius Lao Bistail is a character in the The Titan's Bride manga and anime. He summons Kouichi Mizuki into his world and asks him to rule beside him as his wife and bear his children. Requesting a month to try and woo him, Caius would affirm his desires even in front of Medina his ex-bride to be.
Background[]
The first prince of the titan country Tildant, Caius lives in a separate world named Eustil which is one filled with magic. In contrast to the 21st century world Kouichi is from, Caius is accustomed to living in a castle and similar time period settings such as market squares and transport involving animals. He is familiar with central square where the royal capital is split into four large areas in addition to the people who frequent such areas. He is considered intelligent and kind to the people.
For his magical capabilities he is able to communicate and summon others to his world. Caius does as much by using a summoning ceremony to bring Koichi and declare him his fated wife. As a child he heard of the ancient tradition in Tildant that mandated that the king as a symbol of prosperity must rule over the lands with his trusted wife. An oracle's warning of disaster if Caius married someone of Eustil resulted in him studying summoning magic to call upon beings from another world. Caius can use magic circles of detection which he covered Koichi's clothing with for defensive purposes as well as place them on others to locate them should he need to.
His strong sturdy titan body allows him to resist the poison of the Karina fruit found in Fobal. To acquire a Raisa fruit, Caius would not send the strongest knights at his disposal to invade another location, rather Caius states that he is the strongest knight titan knight of his country so would go by himself. Caius is ready to demonstrate this and is prepared to fend off multiple assailants.
Characteristics[]
A titan who is taller than humans, generally royal family members are also bigger than other citizens so Caius is physically tall even amongst his fellow titans. He is easier to spot on account of being friendly to who he interacts with. Caius was keen to announce the success of his summoning ceremony to those gathered and introduce Kouichi to others at a banquet. With some guests questioning the integrity of Medina, his previous bride to be, Caius roared for all to listen that if anyone dare insult her, he would never forgive them.
Regarding interacting with foreign powers in his world that are not on great terms with his kingdom, Caius prepares excuses that he is an immature prince interested in seeing other places if he is caught. He desires to avoid war and takes it upon himself to retrieve an item to help Kouichi.
Believing in fate, it did not matter to him who Kouichi was, only that he was his beloved where Caius requested that he rule beside him. With himself as a titan and regarding Koichi as a dwarf, Caius stated that their races were already different and their gender even less important. The love a couple has between one another and their willingness to face the world is important to Caius.
He is interested in the the vast knowledge of an unknown world and also likes Koichi's deep, admirable charm and bashful nature. This is as well as his kindness and thoughtfulness for the loneliness of others as well.
Aspirations[]
As a child he enjoyed riding Momu's which are extremely large bovine like creatures with horns. Desiring to become both a king of his realm and take a wife to love, Caius appears to regard Koichi as the method to acquire each with one means. His commitment to being with Caius is sincere.

Caius’ official birthday is August 15th as the creator of the manga confirmed it on their twitter. They decided to go by earth time (a 365 day system) instead of creating a completely new system that made it hard for reader.
