His panic results in him urgently questioning another student as he feels he has lost his mind. He thinks of the dragon when he realizes he is 19 again. Guided by Tennessee, he sees Ray and considers him really beautiful. Back when he was 35 he came across a small dragon and offered it help at finding it ill. After doing so he was afforded three wishes, and he asked whether he could wish that the dragon would leave his house. A second wish was to bring his parents back to life, but Ein takes the wish back since he cannot choose which parent when given the choice of one to restore. After seeing Ray Cunnington in a paper, Ein ask if the dragon can make a love potion since Ray was his first love. He often questions Null and hopes his true form is so grand that Ein faints. Acting as a captain, he checked on Yorick's sister on his behalf and his final thoughts before being stabbed was that the deranged maniac was going to kill him, but he did not want his face to be the last thing he sees, rather Ein wanted Ray's face when he was nineteen at his most brilliant. This would be sufficient for his wish and Ein would wake up to find Ray.
Ray Cunnington[]
Noticing Ein swaying, he suspects it is most likely a sausage allergy. He attended the same college as Ein but barely exchanged a few words since they had different majors.
Tennessee Cane[]
He informs Ein of the time period he is in and that they are both Rowan Royal college students. Asking if Ein has a fever, Tennessee helps steady him as they walk.
Null[]
Addressing Ein as a foolish human, this dragon questions whether he recognizes a great being when he sees one. Prideful to look down on help offered by a human, even after being saved Null called Ein a lazy human and informed him he was a great being and should be shown respect. His true form is much larger, Null was sleeping within a hill before humans encroached on his den. Using hurricanes and his strength Null levelled some mountains and was punished by another dragon. Somewhat satisfied when Ein apologizes on behalf of his kind, Null would like to go home but must first offer Ein three wishes. He is insulted that Ein would waste his immense powers in conjuring a sausage. Null explains he can save a dying human, but in order to bring back someone from the dead he would have to give up his life force so Null can only save one of Ein's parents before he dies. Pleased that the wish was withdrawn, Null then says it is not possible to create a love potion but only because it is against the code of dragons, but he knows Ein wants to give it to Ray and teases Ein at how red he has gotten.
The Messenger[]
Another small dragon sent by the leader, this one has a emerald like stone on its forehead and blue eyes.
Yorick[]
A second lieutenant who is asked by Ein to take some documents to the brigadier general. Yorick asks may he take a look at the security detail out of concern for Jelinda.
Story Introduction[]
The prologue has Captain Ein Price knocking on Miss Jelinda's door. He enters, stunned to see her murdered and the murderer is now stabbing into Ein's neck. Hearing if he wants to make a wish, Ein is to put his blood on the area where the voice's scale in embedded, and wish hard.
With the book closed, Tennessee asks Ein what is it with him and dragons, there is no such thing as them and as a Rowan Royal College law student he should choose another book. The previous night Ein asked what year it was and whether the student before him was Tennessee Cane. Confirming this he replied it is the 7th day of the 8th month of the year 856 according to the royal calendar. Ein contemplates the miracle bestowed upon him, the nineteen year old Ray Cunnington was proof of the reality of the miracle. Just yesterday Ein was 35 yet it all began 100 days earlier than that.
When 35, Ein came across a small dragon that he healed. He would take time to think of his final two wishes, one involves a love potion for Ray. The dragon, called Null, explains a love potion cannot be made, not because it is not possible but to to precedent, since there was once a human who wished for a love potion, and his second wish was to have the dragon drink it so he could gain more wishes. The human himself lost his mind and the dragon who drank it became crazed with love and killed many people and even other dragons.
With one hundred days having passed where Ein has not used his wishes, the Messenger dragon appears. Before parting ways temporarily to see the leader, the dragon ties the blood of the dragon and Ein's true name into a dragon scale which is enough so that Ein can grant one wish using that.
Ein recalls that Yorick's sister, Jelinda has a gift shop in the area. There were rumors that a serial killer who had run rampant ten years ago was back. The seven murder victims and ten casualties were woman in their teens and early twenties. After buying three fairy tail books for Null as per his request, Ein would check Jelinda on Yorick's behalf and would find her murdered, and although he drew his gun, Ein could not stop the murderer.

Returning to an earlier state of being is possible. Null states this is not a fairy tail before using magic to summon the objects of wishes. Magic and wish fulfilment tap into different power sources, and wishes are only granted when a human saves a dragon. Magical powers like creating hurricanes and breathing fire are not the same as one's life force. A dragon's life force is not limitless but really quite large.
